Personal History Helen was born in a small Port town 300 km north of Adelaide, South Australia. Her father and mother were both nurses at the local hospital and she was expected to follow them into the profession. Helen's interests drew her elsewhere.

Instead of nursing, Helen applied to Starfleet and was accepted into Starfleet Medical.

While studying at Starfleet Academy, Helen developed an interest in forensic pathology along with her primary studies in Xeno biology and Organic Chemistry. While here Helen began to lose her hesitance around people and began to interact heartily with Academy life. She had found people who had similar ideas and interests. During her third year there was an 'incident' involving a male cadet that she has never fully recovered from. She never reported it and though her friends suspected something was not right, they never pressed the issue either.

After graduation, Helen was asked to stay on at Starfleet R & D as a research assistant while her friends were assigned to starships or ex solar research facilities. She and her friends correspond regularly and after a few years their constant stream of messages reminded her why she had joined Starfleet in the first place. Space Exploration and new discoveries. She asked to be reassigned to operational duties and her first off planet posting will be on Starbase 611 as an assistant researcher..
