Captain's Log - USS Honshu-A

Posted on Tue Jun 26th, 2012 @ 2:31am by Captain Duran Barr

We have completed our scans of the Pelican nebula. Three months we have been here and there has still not been any sign of the anomaly reported by the Potempkin. I am almost ready to write it off as a sensor glitch, on their behalf.

The Honshu is working surprisingly well, better than her predecessor, even. Her new sensor suite is crystal clear and Lt Maschnost is pushing her in ways I did not even know were possible. The crew are engrossed and enjoying the newer facilities. Even the new PUC interface is blossoming.

We are now on route to Starbase DS12. Starfleet command has told me she wants us to stay close to the station for the next couple of months. Apparently the area has been a little unsettled and, while she doesn't expect any active engagements, Admiral DeVour believes an increased show in muscle may be called for. Hopefully our presence will be enough to settle things before it gets too hot.

I have been doing some research on the situation; Borg, Undine, Gorn, Tholians, Klingons, Cardassians and even a Federation attack fleet. This station has taken a punishment. Hopefully that will change for them soon.

End Log.
