The Tour Continued

Posted on Sat Jul 27th, 2013 @ 6:43am by Lieutenant Colonel Wolfric Bannister

Mission: Part of the Team
Location: Promenade
Timeline: 5-10 minutes after leaving the cafe

Wolf wandered for a while after leaving the cafe. He was a good distance away stepped out of the flow of traffic and looked around, focusing on the surroundings as he often did and curiously looked around, taking in the sights. A few people avoided him, but most ignored him. Both made for interesting points of quiet study. The scents of the promenade were fascinating being a mix of foods, drinks, perfumes, flowers and sweat from all over the galaxy.

He smiled at the dubiousness of his outfit. Most would be fairly certain he was Starfleet. The slightly informal slant to his uniform, lack of rank insignia and the not very common use of a uniform long coat would tweak just about all except the uncaring and those who were mentally flexible and hard to phase.

After moving to the upper level, Wolfric picked an out of the way spot to gaze out at the stars. A small smile played on his lips as he recalled the first few hours on the station, thinking it had been rather interesting so far. He felt good about much of it and he got good vibes about the future of his mission. Perhaps it may even lead to....home for a while.

Lt. s'Arriufvi was also walking on the upper level of the promenade after she had lunch in the cafe before her duty shift at the Operations Console in Ops at 1500 hrs. Nevala also picked an out of the way spot to gaze out at the stars too.

Lt. s'Arriufvi said with a smile, "Did i startle you, Commander Bannister? I'm also new to DS12 as well and I also like to pick an out of the way spot to gaze out at the stars too. I'm the Assistant Chief Operations Officer," Nevala replied.

The Marshal smiled and shook his head as he turned to face the Lieutenant, "No. Not really. Populations tend to packed closely together on this type of station. I've learned that unexpected company is usually to be expected."

He tilted his head and said, "Lt....s'Arriufvi, isn't it? There are not many Rihansu in the Fleet currently. It is a distinct honor to meet you, if I may say so."

Lt. s'Arriufvi said with a smile."Yes its, Commander Bannister. It's also a distinct honor to meet you too, if I also may say so." Commander Bannister

Wolfric smiled and nodded, "Thank you for that very much. I appreciate that," he said as his eyes briefly surveyed the stars out the window before returning to his conversational companion. He asked curiously, "Any first impressions about the new place yet, Lieutenant?"

Lt. s'Arriufvi said with a smile, "No not really, Commander Bannister. I was a Civilian Advisor to both Starfleet and the Federation on DS9 from 2371-2376/7: because I did get into Starfleet Academy first time around," she also asked curiously, "Do you have any first impressions about DS12 yet, Commander Bannister?"

The Marshal smiled, "It seems a lot like Deep Space 9 but a bit rougher around the edges. Not surprising considering the territory, however. Personally, I could get used to it. It has many comforts of home and has that frontier feeling."

Lt. s'Arriufvi smiled, "I do agree with you, Commander Bannister, that it does seems a lot like Deep Space 9 but its a bit rougher around the edges. It's not surprising considering the territory were DS12 is based in, I feel personally. It also has many comforts of home and it has that frontier feeling to me as well."

Wolf fixed the Romulan woman with a gaze, giving her the first in person view of his dual-colored eyes, along with a slight smile, "This is the first time I have met one of your people since the war. The Rihansu were some of the best I served with. I was honored to serve by their sides. It seems that tradition may well continue. I am glad we agree, Lieutenant."

Lt. s'Arriufvi smiled. "I'm also glad that we do agree with one other, Commander Bannister."

The human looked out the window during the pause before he said, "The stars make some interesting constellations from this place."

Lt. s'Arriufvi smiled back. "I do agree with you, Commander Bannister, that the stars do make some interesting constellations from this place too."

Marshal Bannister watched the starscape for a moment longer before looking back toward the operations officer, "Well, Lieutenant, I have a few more stops to make before the days over. Perhaps we'll get a chance to talk more soon?"

Lt. s'Arriufvi smiled back. "Well, Commander Bannister, I also have a few more stops to make before her duty shift at the Operations Console in Ops starts at 1500 hrs. Yes we"ll get a chance to talk more when we not on duty, Commander Bannister. I look forward to talk with you more as well."

"Until then, it has been pleasure to meet you and I look forward to talking more in the near future," he said before fixing the lieutenant with a sincere smile and an amiable nod.

Lt. s'Arriufvi smiled back, "Jolan tru, Commander Bannister. It also has been pleasure to meet you too."

"Until next time, Lieutenant," the human said with a genuine smile. He offered a respectful bow and made his way into the crowd. Time would tell about their next meeting.
