Mission: Ties To Blood: Season 1, Episode 3.

Mike waited for the doors of the Orion Cafe to close, before he gave Leanne a smile. "It's good to see you. I was really worried. I knew that you'd end up in some sort of rut. It is such a relief to see you." He wanted to hug her, but held back, finding out that she and Vos were now together, he was wondering for how long.

"It is good to see you too Mike. It was pretty rough for a while, and I got pretty banged up, I'm still not a hundred percent, more like fifty to be honest. I took a beating down there." She nervously shifted her weight a little bit and looked around the room. "I'm not a big fan of splitting up the crew at all, especially on such dangerous missions. I was worried about you too, I'll have to take you back home sometime to learn how to survive out there in the cold." She smiled at Mike and laughed a little bit. "So what did you want to talk to me about?"

Mike shifted his head around for a moment. "Leanne, you know Jasmine, at least a little, right?"

"Yeah, she was at the academy about the same time I was I saw her around now and then."

Mike nodded. "Is she nuts? Or one of those... you know... types of girl who will just run around kissing guys?"

"I don't know to be honest, she hasn't kissed me yet so I'm not really sure." She grinned at Mike. "Did she hit on you?"

Mike sighed. "It was a bit more than that."

"Ohhh, well lets go for a walk and tell me about it." People were still coming in and out of the bar and didn't think it was a good idea to talk about it in front of anyone in the room.

Mike nodded and started walking. "Well, it all started when we were in the jeffries tubes, we were repairing some circuits, and then we got chatty, it was just stuff about interests, work, you know how it is, and then I asked her if she had a boyfriend, and I was informed that he was killed by the Borg and then she collapsed. Then I told her that I'd support her, because I knew how she felt, and how you helped me. And there she decided that she'd kiss me when I told her that she'd be ok. It really went from there... I'm still deciding whether the conversation went downhill or uphill... but she was trying to get in my pants in the jeffries tubes..."

"Hmmm... maybe fixing things turns her on." Leanne smiled at Mike and started to giggle a little bit. "I really don't know enough about her to make a judgement but it might be a combination of her feeling lonely or upset because of her assimilated boyfriend and the fact that you are a handsome guy who talked nice to her and tried to make her feel better." Leanne folded her arms a little bit as she walked, the station was still a partial disaster and she still wasn't feeling one hundred percent, perhaps as the station got better, she would to.

"It might be that." He chuckled for a minute. "You think I'm handsome? Gee, you have poor taste... you would have to be first woman who ever said that to me."

"You are certainly a little rough around the edges, but there is potential. You are kind of like a diamond in the rough. Just a little polish." She nudged him a little bit on the arm. "So what do you think of Jasmine?"

"She's certainly... cute... ok, she is pretty attractive, I'll admit it." Mike said with a smile.

"Well that is a good start." She looked down at her feet as they walked. "But what else? Is it just sheer animal magnitisim that is drawing you towards her? There must be something more if you wanted to talk to me about her."

"It's more like I'm drawing her to me, I don't know if I even want a relationship with her." He sighed. "I don't think I'd commit to a woman like that, it seems she has a lot of love interests."

"Well what kind of woman are you looking for? That is if you are even looking for someone."

Mike went on his usual 'perfect woman' tangent. "Funny, smart, sensitive, attractive, someone who doesn't go totally by the books. Jasmine gets there, but she is missing something, I really am looking for... well... someone like you."

Leanne stopped for a moment and turned and looked at Mike, her cheeks were starting to turn a light shade of red. "I, I am flattered, that is really sweet of you to say Mike."

"Its really a pity that there are so few people like you around here, you know." He chuckled. "There has to be someone, there always is."

"I don't know if that would be a good thing, I think everything would fall apart if there was anyone else around here like me. I think it would drive everyone nuts."

Mike smiled. "Probably. That would be hilarious though." He rubbed his left eye and then looked at her again. "I just hope I can find someone to make this universe more miserable with before I go baron."

Leanne stopped and put her hands on Mike's arms, "We'll find you someone I promise, before you go crazy, I can help you." she smiled at him a little bit, "If I can't find you someone, I'll hire an Orion girl to marry you."

"A little drastic there." He chuckled. "Do you want to go back to the bar for a drink? My shout."

"Sometimes drastic can be fun." She put her arms around Mike and gave him a hug. "You can get me a drink, but only one though, I've got a long day ahead of me tomorrow." She let go of him and walked next to him back to the bar. She was determined to help him out anyway that she could. Any girl would be lucky to have him, he was smart, funny, handsome, they just needed to find him the right girl, that would compliment him.
