Having Words

Posted on Thu Oct 8th, 2009 @ 2:52pm by Lieutenant Michael Lake

Mission: Ties To Blood: Season 1, Episode 3.
Location: Sickbay

Once Mike left sickbay, he followed the corridor and tapped his combadge.
=^=Lake to Mason, I need to see you immediately=^= His voice was hurried, it was more mature, one might say he his voice had finally 'broken'.

Commander's Mason tone was laboured. =^=Understood, I'm on my way to the infirmary with the Ambassador I'll meet you there=^=

Mike doubled back and waited for Mason once he was outside the infirmary, he waited with his arms folded, still feeling the affects of the Captain's strangling.
Once she appeared, he almost stood to attention.
"The Captain did that as well?" He guessed, sounding tired and pretty stressed, looking at the Klingon Ambassador.

Rolling an eye at Lake Mason nodded dryly passing Haqaj in the capable hands of the medical staff for treatment, then nodded for Ensign Shire to wait outside.

How did Mike know that Beverly was 'unwell' to put it loosely? Had he been assaulted too?
"Alright, Mr Lake what is it that's so important?"

Mike folded his arms and sighed. "I'm going to cut to the chase and make this simple; The Captain decided to strangle Butler and myself for getting slightly intimate in the corridor. She actually physically lifted us both up and held us in an iron grip simultaneously." He shook his head and paced back and forth.

"I see," Krissy answered flatly. "Drop into security and the officer will take down a statement should you wish to create one. Although there might be a queue."

Mike raised an eyebrow. "No bull."

"Look," Mason snarled. "The Captain is not in control of her actions and until we are able to contain and treat her there might be a repeat of that demonstration you experienced. The Ambassador and myself have experienced it along with Doctor Menze and Commander Aerelon. May I recommend you keep your hands to yourself and your mind on the job in the mean while. Do not walk alone and make sure you are armed, Confine all none essential personnel to their quarters until the situation has been settled."

Mike gave her a nod. "Good idea. Maybe we should take this to Vos, first; Walking around the station with a phaser on your side doesn't send a good message out to the residents, or her. Perhaps we should deal with this quietly."

"I have already informed Commander Lorran and these recommendation where his. Hopefully we can avoid a panic and have this resolved quickly." She was beginning to loose patience.

"Alright. I can't help but think that someone jumping her from behind and someone else injecting enough tranquillisers to knock out a horse would be best. We could just shoot her as well." He stopped pacing and looked at her. "I'll see you around. Keep me updated?"

Graciously she smiled at him but beyond that her teeth were grating together. Lake was naive to the situation which was properly best for if everyone knew Beverly was a time bomb waiting to explode Starfleet would order her dead rather than cured.
She moved into the next day back into ear short of Lyons and Haqaj.
