Mission: Plotting New Courses. Season 1, Episode 7
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Current

Leanne stormed down to sickbay. After the meeting it was the only place that she could even think about being. The door slid open and one of the nurses started to say something but the doctor gave her a look that said stay away. Retreating back to her office, Raymond had found his way to one of the bookcases that lined the way and was currently sleeping between two volumes of Andorian internal medicine. It was sobering to realize that all of her possessions were either sleeping on the book case or occupied about two square feet of space in a small black bag on her desk. The cat had been the most challenging item to grab in the mad dash to leave the station.

Leanne walked over to the desk and opened the black bag. Inside was a small accumulation of items that had been in the bottom drawer of her desk on the Starbase, her fathers medals, a few doodads from here and there and a small silver case. Retrieving that from the bottom of the bag she opened it up and grabbed one of the remaining cigarettes from the bottom and the lighter that accompanied it.

Everything seemed like a bad dream, Vos leaving, the Gorn attacking again, the station blowing up, and now Quinn leaving, like salt in an open wound. Leanne moved slowly over to the way and leaned up against it while slowly sliding down to land on the floor. "Why did I snap at him, I should of just kept my mouth shut." She lit the cigarette and took a long draw off of it, closed her eyes then blew a large puff of smoke towards the ceiling. Tears had started to form in her eyes when the adrenaline and rage had subsided.

"I should probably send an apology to him should I Raymond." Looking up at him, he was paying little attention to his owner and continued his regiment of sleeping. Leanne blew another puff of smoke towards the ceiling and pulled her knees up to her chest, sitting like she used to when she was little, sitting in her her room alone with nothing but her lonely thoughts to keep her company. She leaned her head up against the wall, and started to cry, everything had just become too much and at the moment, it was the only thing that seemed to comfort her at the moment. When she got back to Earth, she was determined to take some time off and go back home for a while. she took another drag from her cigarette and sat staring at the wall, staring at nothing in particular.
