Mission: Wolf In The Fold. Season 2, Episode 1
Location: St George's comms

Maxx put in a call to Sileth on the Tomcat before the systems went cold and before anyone could hear him. He kept his voice low. Then her face appeared before him, just as he remembered it and he touched her cheeks on the view screen. His world became suddenly brighter.

"Hi Kriss" came her lyrical voice

"Hi sweetheart" he said affectionately but noticed something the matter, she looked as if she had been crying. "Are you alright? Is there something wrong?"
She was upset about something but was trying her best to hide it. She was too far away for Maxx to comfort her and hold her in his arms like he wanted to do.

"Oh its just crew evaluations" she told him "They seem to take forever to do and I feel a bit tired that's all, but seeing you has made me feel so much better"

"I love you too" she replied and reached out to touch the screen.

Maxx heard Kriss sigh in the background but took no notice, Kriss tried to force his way through the barrier that Maxx had built around himself but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't break through. If there was only a way he could warn Sileth before it was to late.

"You'll never get to her" warned Maxx

"Have you put in a Trasfer yet Sileth to Roark Nor?" Maxx asked

Sileth hesitated "Not yet" she said "Things are a little hectic here with one thing and another, but I will see the Captain soon when things ease off a bit."

"Are you ready" came a voice behind Maxx

"Sileth I have to go" he told her "I'll contact you soon"

"Bye Kriss, all my love" She replied

"Bye love, we'll chat soon"

Maxx ended the call and went back to what he was doing while Kriss quoted poetry to soothe troubled minds.

A glass wall separates me from my sight.
So that the world teasingly dangles in front of me,
Knowing that I can't touch it.
Knowing that I only await waiting to
Waiting for the tiger, clawing fervently underneath my skin
to find an exit, to find freedom, but mostly,
